Well done everyone

Southwold 10K - 24th November 2013

New PB woohoo

I did the Southwold 10k this morning in a new fastest time of 45:53
We'll chuffed.

What made the day really special though was sharing it with my in laws Steve and Margaret, my sister in law Jaimee and most of all Melanie.  I have never felt so proud in all my life.  10 weeks ago Melanie and the in laws couldn't run for a minute, today they completed their first ever race.  Steve did a 1:09 and Margaret and Mel 1:17.  Massive achievement for all of them.  Jaimee rounded it off in a 1:02.

Just shows what a bit of dedication and perseverance can do.  They are usually standing at the finish cheering me on so it was brilliant to wait for them and cheer them over the line.

The run block has really paid off for me this Autumn.  2mins off my 10K PB and I feel like a runner for the first time ever.  Bit of a crossroads now.  IM training starts January.  So 5 weeks of limbo.  Easy week this week and I might do a strength block in December as well as start to ramp up the swimming again which I have let slip lately.  Biking isn't bad with a couple of sufferfest sessions a week.

For now though feet up, beer and curry time.
