3rd March 2014

Interesting weekend.  I had a 20m run race on Sunday so only swam on the Saturday.  1500m pull in a new PB 26:13.  Pleased with that.

Wymondham 20

Wanted to beat my 3:01 last year and at 10miles was bang on course.  Then the wheels came off.

Had a mare at the Wymondham 20m today. First 10m 1:22. Second 10m 1:51. Wanted to do 2:50 ish and started off on pace. Blew up completely between 10-11mile. No idea why. HR was really high throughout. Like 170s when I have been training same pace in the 140's. Started puking after 14mile. All the liquids and gels came up. Didn't digest any of it. Just ran out of fuel and bonked. At 19mile the grannies and fat blokes started passing me. Not good. Finished in 2:13. 13mins slower than last year and 25mins slower than my target. 



HR started off way too high.  I have been running really well the last few months so no idea what happened.  Still miles banked and move on.

Feel shit today mind!
